Job Role: Cyber Security Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Purpose
At Air IT, we’re looking for a Cyber Security Pre-Sales Engineer to help customers finding the right cyber security solutions for their organisations. You will work closely with existing and perspective customers as well as our sales team to understand customer requirements, recommend appropriate cyber security solutions, and scope professional services projects where needed.
This is a new role within Air Sec - the specialist cyber security division of Air IT. You will have opportunities to help shape the role and drive business success for both customers and Air IT.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the sales team in conveying the value of Air IT’s cyber security service offerings to the perspective customers
- Collaborate with customers to understand business drivers, requirements and budget constraints in order to recommend appropriate cyber security services
- Liaising with vendors and internal subject matter experts to deliver demos and Proof-of-concepts to customers
- Conduct detailed scoping exercises of specialised cyber security solutions such as SIEM and vulnerability management
- Produce written statement of works and assist sales teams with quotations
- Analyse customer trends and support on-going development of cyber security services
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
Essential
- Solid general knowledge of common IT topics such as authentication, networking, operating systems, cloud
- High-level understanding of commercial aspects of IT project delivery
- Detailed knowledge across multiple cyber security disciplines, covering topics such as SIEM, SOC, Vulnerability Scanning, Cyber Essentials, Penetration Testing. Hands-on experience working with one or more of the areas would be highly desirable
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products and Entra ID
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Genuine interest in cyber security and desire to help customers succeed
Desirable
- Pre-sales experience in other technical disciplines
- Hands -on experience in IT project delivery, cyber security operations or consultancy, system administration
- Relevant education, training, or certifications in cyber security.
- Knowledge of Cyber Essentials accreditation or other information security standards.
- Understanding of offensive security topics like vulnerability scanning, Capture The Flag (CTF), or bug bounty programs.
