We’re looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team and help us deliver outstanding results for our clients.

The Role:

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be instrumental in delivering Air IT’s security services, safeguarding our clients’ IT infrastructure against cyber threats. You'll work with various tools and systems, staying updated on the latest technology trends to ensure that our clients’ security needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cyber Security Awareness:
Manage the creation, maintenance, and delivery of cyber security awareness training and phishing campaigns.

Security Alerts Management:
Triage and investigate alerts from security systems such as SIEM and EDR, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.

Incident Handling:
Collaborate with internal and external security teams to conduct cyber threat detection and incident handling.

Client Communication:
Provide clear and timely communication to customers and stakeholders regarding cyber threats and incidents.

Documentation:
Keep detailed records of all work in the internal case management system.

Security Audits:
Conduct security investigations and audits on various software and cloud systems.

Security Assessments:
Perform security assessments for clients, including Cyber Essentials and vulnerability assessments, once qualified.

Data Analysis:
Analyse data from multiple sources to identify anomalies and potential security threats.

Knowledge Sharing:
Support customers and colleagues with your cyber security expertise, offering guidance and solutions when needed.

About You:

Essential:

• A keen interest in cyber security, with evidence or examples of your passion and commitment.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with common IT systems or cloud services such as Windows/Linux OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, and Entra ID.
• Familiarity with networking and virtualization concepts.
• Working knowledge of network devices like firewalls and switches, particularly with security-sensitive configurations.
• Strong logical and methodical approach, especially under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Ability to commute to an Air IT office as required by our hybrid working policy.

Desirable:

• Prior experience as a Security Operation Centre (SOC) Analyst or similar role.
• Relevant education, training, or certifications in cyber security.
• Knowledge of Cyber Essentials accreditation or other information security standards.
• Understanding of offensive security topics like vulnerability scanning, Capture The Flag (CTF), or bug bounty programs.
• Experience in delivering security training or conducting phishing simulations.
