As a Junior Project Engineer at Air IT, you'll be an integral part of our projects team – the driving force behind our quality customer service and dependable solutions. Working closely with our Professional Service Technical Manager and the central Project Management Office, you'll ensure that every project is delivered seamlessly, exceeding our clients' expectations.

The Team:

The Air IT projects team are an essential part of the business. Often working on customers sites, they are the face of the business delivering quality customer service and reliable solutions. Regionally headed up by the Professional Service Technical Manager and with links into the central Project Management Office. This team ensures quality projects are delivered and handed over to our support team delighting our customers.

The role:

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of projects to a high-quality standard, meeting all specified requirements within the designated time. Additionally, the Junior Project Engineer will assume a critical responsibility in facilitating the transition of new projects to the service desk team upon their completion. Moreover, this role will involve providing support to senior project engineers in successfully completing larger and more complex projects.

Deliverables:

  • Collaborate with Air IT Project Management Office to ensure project delivery.
  • Log and action all project activity in ConnectWise following established procedures.
  • Deliver client documentation following Air IT best practice before Service Desk handover.
  • Maintain information security by complying with the company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) and all relevant policies.
  • Work with the support teams to ensure successful handover at project completion. Deliver client documentation following Air IT best practice before Service Desk handover.
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new clients

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Some IT project delivery experience
  • Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems Administration (2008-2022)
  • Microsoft Windows Hyper-V/VMware vSphere and vCentre Administration
  • Microsoft 365 Administration ( InTune, Azure/Entra AD join, AD Connect, SharePoint Online, DLP, MDM)
  • Understanding of Multi-Factor-Authentication technologies
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and related server roles Administration (IIS/RDS/DFS/NPS)
  • Email Protection administration such as Mimecast
  • AV Protection (Sentinel One, Webroot, Sophos Endpoint Protection)
  • Understanding of Backup Technologies (Veeam and Datto)
  • Firewall Technologies (Sophos UTM/XG, SonicWALL & Cisco Meraki)
  • Basic understanding of switching and routing network technologies (VLANs, LAGG, Access/Trunk ports) and a good understanding of the following (TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A current, valid driving licence
